With one touch, you can tell the seat to tumble forward, leaving space to climb into the back. The standard Sync 3 touch screen is eight inches, and a 10.1-inch model is available. Of course, this includes Apple CarPlay and its rival Android Auto. Dual-zone climate controls are standard. Families will appreciate available 4G LTE WiFi that can serve up to ten devices. These Explorers can tow 5,000, 5,300 or even 5,600 pounds, depending on the towing package. Going its own way, a hybrid edition has a 3.3-liter V6 which is complemented by a 44-horsepower electric motor. It generates 319 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque.
