The Escape seats 5 and gives you 42.3 inches of front leg room and 40 inches of front head room. In the rear, you get 38.9 inches of leg room and 39.3 inches of head room. The color layout for the new Escape is one of its strengths. Cloth is standard on the S and SE trims. Colors like Sandstone and Dark Earth Gray are your typical fare on the first couple of trims. Mechanical - 2020 Ford Escape
The 8-speed automatic transmission that's standard is mated with a 1.5L turbocharged engine or a 2.0L turbocharged engine. The 1.5L is rated at 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. If you really want to juice things up and get bolder power, though, it's the 2.0L you want to set your sights on. Its 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque is easily one of the most impressive engines in this class. When combined with Ford's aerodynamic redesign of the Escape and a host of other mechanical features that improve drive quality, it gives the Escape the kind of brilliance it has always wanted to have.
