What's new on the 2023 Ford Super Duty
The Super Duty is all new for the 2023 model year. The fourth-generation Super Duty brings with it a revised gas V8 engine with a 10-speed transmission and a diesel Power Stroke engine available in two configurations.
2023 Ford Super Duty - Performance
Rear-wheel drive is standard with the base trim. Four-wheel drive is optional with the base trim and standard beyond it. All models have a 10-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine is a 7.3L V8 rated at 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque, which is best in class. You also have the option of a 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel V8 available in either a standard- or high-output configuration. The SO engine makes 475 hp and 1050 lb.-ft. The HO engine makes 500 hp and 1200 lb.-ft.
Ford Super Duty - Safety
The base infotainment system includes Sync 4 and an 8-inch touch screen. Touch screens as large as 12 inches are available. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and a rearview camera system are standard equipment. Most other driver assists are optional, including a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control with lane keeping and lane departure mitigation.
Ford Super Duty - Mechanical
Maximum payload capacity for the new Ford Super Duty near Orlando is 8,000 pounds. Maximum towing capacity is 40,000 pounds. Beyond the base trim, Rapid Red Metallic is available as a premium option. With the Lariat and up, premium options also include Star White Metallic Tri-Coat.
