The EcoBoost models are powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine that balances fuel performance and overall performance: 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard here. With the GT trim level and beyond, you have the choice of an automatic or a six-speed manual transmission. Those models have the 5.0-liter V8 known as the Coyote. It has been carried forward from the previous generation but with significant improvements, so it now outputs 480 hp and 415 lb.-ft. Ford has introduced an all-new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 for drivers who prefer a diesel powertrain instead. Payload and towing ratings have been improved as well. The Super Duty can now haul as much as 8,000 pounds and tow as much as 40,000 pounds. The exterior has been redesigned as well.
